Some times we try to get God to do what we want. One thing we should know is that God almighty in his sovereignty already knew that our human mind couldn't ask or imagine for anything that is beyond our liberty. That is why he gave us the authority to ask anything in his name. He said is there anything too hard for me. Nothing is beyond his will or ability to do.
John 7:16 -18 My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. . If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him
Sometimes we try to do things from our own might but we always forget that we should look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our life. He said that we should lay our burdens onto him. In life we tend to do things our own way but forget that we should cast our burdens onto Jesus and he will take care of it.
Another definition of faith is having complete trust and confidence in. Our God is faithful and He is not man that He should lie what He says He will do, He does. I find that whenever the topic of Faith comes up several questions arise. Do I have enough or how do I know I have faith?
It is as simple as this (Remember the parable of a mustard seed):
Crossing the street and knowing you will be safe.
Closing your eyes at night and knowing whatever side you wake up on its perfect. (If you are not saved and reading this you have something to worry about).
Hopping on a plane traveling across the ocean and knowing you will arrive safely.
In all these examples there is no evidence just pure confidence that it will happen!
Hebrews 11:1 starts with Now - Today not tomorrow, we serve an Awesome God of here and now. He is not a past tense God.
The Bible is spiritual, based on things you don't see. As it is God's Word it can only be understood with a spiritual mind. You need to move out of your normal five senses and work with the sixth sense that is what Faith is. Faith is evidence of things that are not seen but you can see with your spiritual eyes. The Bible clearly states in 1 John 5:4 what is born of God overcomes the World. The world is governed by principles e.g. you have to work to pay your bills, for you to be able to attain something you have to do something. But we who are born of God do not to have to anything but live by Faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 We live by Faith not by sight
The world sees limitations God sees limitless. Faith makes you go beyond boundaries. As human beings we perceive things in the natural and only see limitations. Remember Moses and the burning bush, he first saw a burning bush until God called him to draw closer. Keep your eyes focused and the limitations will look like small pebbles. Champions are made as they do not look at the obstacles but look at the finishing line. An Athletic Champion in hurdles is focused on the finishing line and when you watch it on television the athlete seems to just hop over the hurdles and it seems so easy however his eyes are on the finishing line.
Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man, will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. It's not what people say about you that matters it is what you answer to, even if you are a young person 1 Timothy 4:12. One of the major reasons for questioning our faith is that we rely on people to validate us and become people pleasers. Without faith we cannot please God. He should be your first port of call in any situation.
What name do you answer to- I challenge you to name yourself. I will tell you about my names which are Lois, the grandmother of Timothy who Paul referred to as a sincere woman of faith. Sara remembered as a woman of faith even in the New Testament. Wairimu, means daughter of a giant. My God is a giant and I have been blessed with a mother who is a spiritual giant. In short, I am a woman of sincere faith working to be a spiritual giant. Isaiah 43:4 When God made me He smiled and said It was good.
Are you hoping to change your circumstances? If He puts you in it He is going to see you through it. .
Remember what God has done for you.
